How would we view the moon,
if she did not have her scars?
Would we still admire her?
Would she shine as bright,
Show her self, like she does now.
All proud and beautiful
Up in the sky, surrounded by stars
They too admire her
They’re nothing but a dim light
when she shows up
But without her scars
She’d be nothing but a flat surface
They make her what she is
They showed her to be brave
to go on
They made her special and stand out
Even though she has been hurt so many times
She shows off her scars
When she shines all bright
Her scars could never dim her light
